About the Happy Daisy Mandala
The Happy Daisy Mandala is a 10-fold daisy mandala: every motif repeats 10 times around the center. It is built from 4 rings of scallops, spikes and teardrops, from a small flower in the middle to the wide outer border.
This is an easy mandala with fairly large spaces – a good start for kids, beginners and anyone who wants a quick, calm page. Most people finish it in 20 to 40 minutes with crayons, markers or colored pencils.
How to Color This Mandala
Start in the center and work outwards ring by ring, so your hand doesn't smudge finished parts. Choose 3 to 5 colors and repeat them, so the mandala looks balanced.
- Scallops: scalloped edges look pretty in a lighter shade of the ring next to them.
- Spikes: pointed shapes look great with a gradient – dark at the base, light at the point.
- Teardrops: a tiny white spot left uncolored makes them look like shiny drops.
Color Ideas
- Keep it fresh like a daisy: white or pale yellow petals around a golden center, with leafy greens outside.
- Rainbow: one color per ring, in rainbow order from the center.
- Forest: moss, olive, pine and warm brown.
Did You Know?
Ten-fold symmetry is less common, which gives this mandala a slightly unusual, star-like rhythm.
