About This Corn Coloring Page
A big ear of corn stands upright, full of rows of round kernels. Long green husks wrap around it from the bottom, and a short stalk sticks out underneath.
There are many kernels to color, so this page takes a little patience – a nice challenge for older kids and a calm coloring page for grown-ups too.
Coloring Ideas
- Sweet corn: yellow kernels with a few golden ones.
- Colorful "Indian corn": red, purple, orange and yellow kernels mixed together.
- Green husks with a lighter green inside layer.
Did You Know?
Corn was one of the most important crops of Native American peoples, and the Wampanoag people showed the Pilgrims how to grow it.
Activity
Use the kernels for counting practice: how many kernels are in one row? Make a pattern with two colors – yellow, red, yellow, red. Pair it with the cornucopia.
